Sørfinnset skole/the nord land has since the start i 2003, focused on dialog, social engagement and experimental form of value and knowledge production with pedagogical and practical methods that amongst other are linking different traditions and experiences. Diverse understandings of ecology and direct involvement in nature at several levels has been investigated through seasonal activities, building, concerts, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, excursions, hikes and parties. Sørfinnset skole/ the nord land  is located in the village of Sørfinnset in Gildeskål Municipality, Nordland.
